Rugged Gantry Design Contributes to Cut Accuracy ESAB Cutting Systems, the premiere name in cutting system technology, has harnessed the power of water in HydroCut, the first gantry-style waterjet cutting machine to combine the versatility of waterjet with ESAB's advanced gantry technology.

HydroCut incorporates the rugged design and construction associated with all ESAB gantry machines. The sturdy box-beam gantry design features welded, stress-relieved components and precision-machined contact surfaces for reliable and accurate operation. AC brushless motors provide precise motion control and positioning accuracy within .005 in. (.127 mm). The motors are directly coupled, so there is no belt or gearbox to maintain. Ball screws on the X and Y axis are protected from debris by a unique lipseal system. The dual-seal system avoids the problems of tearing and ripping found in bellow protected systems.

HydroCut'™s gantry structure forms a sturdy base for precise motion and cutting control with traverse speeds up to 1000 ipm on some models.

HydroCut comes in table sizes of 8' x 4' (2,438.4 x 1,219.2 mm), 12' x 6' (3,657.6 x 1,828.8 mm), and 12' x 12' (3,657.6 x 3,657.6 mm). Customized models for extra wide or long applications are also available.
