| Message | Cause of Error | Correction |
| (172) Error writing <n> | File <n> cannot be written. If this error occurs when accessing the hard disk, error-free functioning of the control system can no longer be assured. | Inform ESAB service. |
| If this error occurs when accessing the floppy disk, the floppy disk might be damaged. | Insert or change floppy disk in floppy drive. If the error cannot be corrected in this way, inform ESAB service. |
